The solar panel should always be positioned in an open location where it can receive direct sunlight. Avoid placing the panel beneath trees, eaves, verandahs or in heavily shaded areas.

First-Time Solar Charging
Before first use, position the solar panel where it can receive direct sunlight for approximately 48 hours to fully charge the battery. During daylight hours, the solar panel converts sunlight into energy and recharges the internal battery. The lights then switch on automatically after dark.
For best performance, allow approximately 8 hours of direct sunlight per day. Operating time will vary depending on weather conditions, geographical location, season and the amount of sunlight received. During winter or periods of cloudy weather, operating time may be reduced.
Important: Do not position the solar panel in shaded areas, as insufficient sunlight will reduce charging performance and operating time.
