When searching for an outdoor LED driver, be sure to choose one that is weatherproof. The most crucial feature of a weatherproof LED driver is its ability to protect the internal electronics from water damage, which could result in power supply failure. To measure the level of protection against dust and water, there is a rating standard known as the IP rating.

For outdoor use, an IP rating of IP67 is often recommended. We have several series of LED drivers that are equipped with an IP67 rating. Before discussing the features of each series, it is important to understand how the IP rating system works and the significance of its two numbers.

The IP rating consists of the letters IP (for Ingress Protection) followed by two numbers, the first indicating the level of protection against solids and the second indicating the level of protection against liquids.
